The Final Lockdown...

As we enter a third and hopefully final lockdown LOC would like to reassure all patients that travel to medical appointments is explicitly allowed under Government guidance. We continue to be open to treating patients but have introduced further precautions to keep patients and staff safe in the light of the more transmissible COVID-19 strain. For those arriving by car, stay in your car and notify reception that you have arrived; you will then be called into the clinic. While you are waiting you are welcome to use the facilities if you need to. If you are travelling by public transport please wait in reception, you will be shown into a clinic room as soon as it becomes available. All who enter the clinic will have their temperature taken. Patients are kindly asked to limit the numbers entering the clinic, so please bring as few family members as possible and then out of your party can the numbers entering the clinic be managed carefully. If you prefer to have a Skype or telephone consultation we can arrange that for you to further limit travel and personal interaction. About LOC

The London Orthotic Consultancy (LOC) was established in August 2004, by four clinicians who originally worked with the NHS at a London hospital. They ran a successful orthotic department that gained a worldwide reputation as a centre of excellence in the field of rehabilitation. The London Orthotic Consultancy has ten fully qualified clinicians who have a vast amount of experience in the field of orthotics, cranial remoulding therapy, scoliosis, chest deformities, rehabilitation and posture management. This allows the clinic to effectively treat and manage a wide range of conditions. All of our clinicians are fully qualified professionals and are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Our orthotists and prosthetists are all members of the British Association of Prosthetists and Orthotists (BAPO) while our Schroth physiotherapist is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP). All of our clinicians adhere to a strict code of conduct and ethics as laid down by their respective professional bodies and the HCPC.

What facilities are at the Romford clinic?

We have the following facilities and amenities at our Romford location: Large waiting room Disabled access toilet Parking: There is NO parking directly outside the clinic. What facilities are at the Manchester OSKAR clinic?

LOC’s clinic is based in the University of Salford’s Podiatry Department and provides treatments for orthotics, scoliosis, pectus deformities, positional plagiocephaly and club foot. It is also the base for LOC’s northern OSKAR clinic which is run by Sam Walmsley, clinical director of LOC, in conjunction with Elaine Owen MBE MSc SRP MCSP.

Where is LOC's temporary Manchester clinic?

What are the best clothes to wear?

Clothing worn is dependent on which clinic you are attending. You will be sent a letter detailing what clothing to wear along with all other details prior to any appointment at the clinic.
